We ran out of daylight, and the weather was predicted to be poor for the next couple of days so we returned to one of our favorite haunts (Lewis Cove --- the back door to Boothbay). The rock art at the local park, where we land, has continued to expand.
"Evergreen" can be seen in the distance, after we landed, at high tide:
Lobster pots that are not moved to deeper water during the winter are hauled and stored ashore.
What is unusual about this photo? Not only do a significant number of people ride bicycles to the market, but none of the bikes need to be locked. We wish that we could live in such a place year-round.
By now, Boothbay harbor is nearly devoid of pleasure vessels.
