An Invitation

We enjoy sharing our lifestyle with our family, friends, and others. So COME ON OUT and "let's get on with it". You only have an opportunity to live once. For those of you who do not choose to get away, feel free to travel vicariously via this blog. P.S.: Note that you can enlarge photos by clicking on them. You can click on the "Spot" link to see where we are (click on "satellite" tab to get a photo of the area) (takes a while to load). You can also use the weather links to find out what we are experiencing. You will find only one post per page --- access earlier posts via the archive. Enjoy.

A Day At Robinhood - Georgetown, Maine

Friday, July 29th, 2011

During the summer months, the "produce boat" makes her rounds to the local marinas in the Boothbay region.  The Beth Alison is a replica of a New Haven Sharpie.  She was originally designed for oyster harvesting on Long Island Sound.  This replica was actually used for oyster harvesting in Maine before she became a produce boat.  Note the girl playing the fiddle on the dock.

A wide assortment of produce, flowers, canned products, herbs, hummus, pestos, and baked goods is available.

Everything is produced on the Merry Meeting Farm, located on the Damariscotta River, Maine.

While in Nova Scotia, Evergreen stubbed her toe on a rock.  So, we decided it was best to have her short hauled in order to inspect the damage.  Immediate treatment was deemed not necessary, so we were sent on our way.
