Time To Set Sail

In this case, size was irrelevant.  With determination, anyone could participate in this regatta.


The calm morning after the initial reunion of these wooden boats that come together each year:


All types of wooden boats gathered although the regatta is a sailing event.

Boats were still arriving, in the late morning, as the sailboats headed out to the race course.


The winds may be light, but we are going to get there one way or the other.


Since our plastic boat was unable to participate in the Wooden Boat Regatta we set sail in a different direction.  As we sailed down Penobscott Bay we passed the windjammer, the Grace Bailey.

The Grace Bailey at anchor in Broad Cove, which is part of Rockland Harbor.  Several folks were enjoying a chilly swim, after the hot day.
