An Invitation

We enjoy sharing our lifestyle with our family, friends, and others. So COME ON OUT and "let's get on with it". You only have an opportunity to live once. For those of you who do not choose to get away, feel free to travel vicariously via this blog. P.S.: Note that you can enlarge photos by clicking on them. You can click on the "Spot" link to see where we are (click on "satellite" tab to get a photo of the area) (takes a while to load). You can also use the weather links to find out what we are experiencing. You will find only one post per page --- access earlier posts via the archive. Enjoy.

Chester, Nova Scotia

Sunday, July 17th, 2011

We moved on to Mahone Bay.  The bay and the communities that surround it resemble the coast of Maine.  Chester is one of these communities.  We arrived as the sun was setting.

The ferry to Big Tancook Island --- it has ramps at both ends to allow vehicles to access the ferry from boat ramps.

A public salt water swimming pool makes swimming bearable.

The view from the Chester Yacht Club:

The sights and smells of  wild roses were everywhere.

Chester Harbour as seen from the deck at the Rope Loft:

Cruisers raft up at the dock while their crews enjoy shore- side treats.

Sunset at 21:00 pm and folks are still swimming:
