An Invitation

We enjoy sharing our lifestyle with our family, friends, and others. So COME ON OUT and "let's get on with it". You only have an opportunity to live once. For those of you who do not choose to get away, feel free to travel vicariously via this blog. P.S.: Note that you can enlarge photos by clicking on them. You can click on the "Spot" link to see where we are (click on "satellite" tab to get a photo of the area) (takes a while to load). You can also use the weather links to find out what we are experiencing. You will find only one post per page --- access earlier posts via the archive. Enjoy.

Shelburne Founders' Days Festival Activities (continued)

Saturday, July 23rd, 2011

Reminder:  One can click on all photos to enlarge.

And the great music goes on:

Back at the yacht club, a club member, and also captain of his own commercial vessel, provides part of his Haddock catch to the club for a BBQ for all members and guests.  This are indeed a special treat.

This is the "Greased Pole" competition.  The goal is to walk out on the greased pole and pull a $20 dollar bill off the end.

This is the "Lobster Crate Races" competition.  The goal is to scamper across the lobster crates and attempt to go as far as possible before falling into the water.

As the festival nears it's end all the boats return to the yacht club.
