Shelburne, Nova Scotia Founders' Days Festival

Thursday, July 21st, 2011

Reminder:  One can click on all photos to enlarge.

We happened to arrive in Shelburne just before their annual Founders' Days Festival.  Of course we had to stay a while in order to wait for a good weather window to make the crossing back to Maine.  People asked when we were leaving.  The answer:  when the wind changes.  The town went all out with realistic reenactments of 18th century life, games, music, regatta, fireworks, and nighttime boat parade.
