We have obligations awaiting us back in the States, so it is now time to make tracks towards our jumping off point, Shelburne, Nova Scotia. After a long day (16.5 hours & 92 nautical miles) we enter Shelburne Harbour as the sun sets.
Off to starboard we see a huge rock pile which is a breakwater protecting the commercial fishing boats. One of the benefits of the Canadian government is that they financially facilitate the development of many endeavors that will result in the growth of the economy. A large part of the expense associated with the building of this particular breakwater was paid for by the government.
The view when entering Shelburne, Harbour:
We reach the Shelburne Yacht Club as the sun was setting, and not only was there a spot at the dock, but members were waiting to take our lines. We could not ask for a better conculsion to a long day at sea.
