It was not without sadness that we departed Canso, Nova Scotia and our dear friends. As we left, we passed the lighthouse that helps guide the fishermen home.
We were welcomed back to the watery world by a familiar sight. Although not as prevalent as in Maine, seals always give one a sense of company in this harsh environment.
"Change Clouds" - it seems that the weather is in a constant state of flux in the Maritimes.
We have found that our new Monitor self steering device does a remarkably good job and is easy to use. This saves electricity and is nearly equivalent to having another crew member.
